What is the Minato Line One-Day Free Pass with Hitachi Seaside Park Admission Ticket?
This ticket includes admission to the National Hitachi Seaside Park and a one-day unlimited ride pass for the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway Minato Line.
Starting from March 18, 2026, you can purchase mobile tickets through the "Transfer Guide" app by Jorudan. This allows you to complete your ticket purchase, boarding, and entry all using just your smartphone, without the need to wait in line at the ticket counter.
During the nemophila and kochia seasons, the ticket counter at Katsuta Station can get quite crowded. To ensure a smooth start to your sightseeing, it's a good idea to purchase your tickets in advance using your smartphone.

Adults can enjoy the best deal, saving 150 yen compared to purchasing separately. For children in middle school and below, entrance to the seaside park is free, so there is no price difference. However, the convenience of managing both the train ticket and entrance ticket with a single app is a significant advantage.
To use the silver fare, you will need to present an age verification document such as a driver's license. Children (pre-school age) can ride for free, with up to two children allowed per adult with a ticket.
During the seasonal pricing period, tickets will be switched to special tickets.
At the National Hitachi Seaside Park, there are "seasonal pricing periods" that coincide with the peak blooming times of nemophila and kochia. During this period, a special ticket is available, which includes a one-day free pass for the Minato Line along with an entrance ticket to Hitachi Seaside Park that reflects the seasonal pricing.
Sales for the spring season of 2026 will begin on April 1, with the usage period from April 3 to May 6 during the seasonal pricing period. The standard set tickets will not be available for sale during this time and will resume sales on May 7. The prices and specifications of the set tickets are the same as those for the paper tickets of the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway. Please note that the tickets cannot be used on days when the seaside park is closed.
In other words, you can purchase mobile tickets during the season for Nemophila and Kochia. The seasonal pricing will automatically switch to the seasonal rate, so you can buy your tickets with peace of mind, regardless of the time of year.

In addition, there are two-day passes available (500 yen for adults and 250 yen for seniors) as well as annual passports (4,500 yen for adults and 2,100 yen for seniors). If you present a disability certificate, the holder and one accompanying person can enter for free.
The free admission days for 2026 are May 10th and 17th (for everyone), September 21st (for those aged 65 and over), and September 26th and 27th (for everyone).
How to Buy
Download the free "Jorudan Transfer Guide" app from the App Store or Google Play, and select the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway tickets from the "Tickets" tab within the app to purchase them. In addition to credit cards, we also accept cashless payment methods such as au PAY and AEON Pay. You can purchase tickets in advance starting five days before your visit, so it's a good idea to buy them early to match your travel plans for peace of mind.
How to Use
On the day of your ride, press the "Use Ticket" button in the app to activate your ticket. Please note that this button is only valid on the day you press it, so make sure to do so on the day of your travel. You must start using your ticket within one month of purchase.
When boarding or alighting from the Minato Line, please clearly show the color bar displayed on the screen to the train driver or station staff. At the seaside park, you will need to present the screen showing your admission ticket at the entrance.
Please be careful to charge your smartphone, as it will become invalid if you are unable to display your ticket due to a dead battery.
About Cancellations
You can cancel your ticket before pressing the "Use Ticket" button. A cancellation fee of 220 yen will apply. Please note that refunds are not available after the usage has started.
Attractions Along the Minato Line
The Hitachinaka Seaside Railway Minato Line is a local train that connects a total of 11 stations from Katsuta Station to Ajigaura Station. With a one-day free pass, you can hop on and off as you please. You can also enjoy sightseeing along the line, especially in combination with the seaside park!
At Nakaminato Station, you can easily walk to Nakaminato Fish Market, where fresh seafood is gathered. You'll find a variety of delicious port town cuisine, including sushi, seafood bowls, and grilled seafood. The area around the terminal station, Ajigaura Station, features Ajigaura Beach, which is bustling with activity during the summer for swimming.
