[THE BOTANICAL RESORT RINNE], which opened at Ibaraki PrefectureNaka City, is a new-concept botanical resort created by renovating a former botanical garden and transforming it into a “botanical garden where you can stay.” The vast grounds feature forests and gardens, allowing guests to enjoy a special experience that blends plant observation with a unique lodging experience.

Opening November 2025 — Japan’s First “Stay-in-the-Garden” Resort

Botanical Resort Rinne is a new resort facility opening in November 2025 in Ibaraki PrefectureNaka City. As “Japan’s first botanical garden where you can stay,” it is an unprecedented mixed-use resort that combines the charm of a botanical garden with glamping and cottage accommodations.

The Tropical Plant House houses approximately 240 species and 23,000 plants, allowing visitors to enjoy tropical and subtropical flora year-round. Exhibition areas such as the Vanilla Dome are designed as indoor attractions that can be enjoyed even on rainy days, making them a welcome feature for families.

Accommodation Experience: 27 Glamping Units and 18 Cottages

Rinon’s accommodation facilities consist of 27 glamping units and 18 cottages, for a total of 45 units. Each unit is sized to accommodate about four people, making them ideal for families and groups of friends.

There is also a wide range of activities to enjoy in combination with your stay. These include the “TOBIZARU” adventure course, the “Jurassic Hunter” AR shooting game, a grass slide, BBQ facilities, and hot spring baths—all designed to keep everyone, from children to adults, entertained all day long. A “Free Accommodation for Toddlers” campaign is also being held through May 2026.

Discover the World of Vanilla at the “Vanilla Dome” Tropical Plant House

バニラドーム

When visiting Hayashine, the Tropical Plant House is the first place you’ll want to visit. The facility features a wide variety of tropical and subtropical plants, creating a space that feels as though you’ve wandered into a tropical paradise. With lush, large-leaved plants and vibrant flowers, you can experience exotic nature right here in Japan.

Of particular note is the area where vanilla plants are grown. It is rare to see vanilla as an actual plant, and here you can observe up close how vanilla—known as an ingredient in sweets—grows. The appeal of this facility lies in the fact that you can see the plant itself, rather than just encountering it as a finished fragrance or confection.

Enjoy a dessert experience at the Vanilla Dome Café

At the "Vanilla Dome Café," located next to the Tropical Plant House, you can enjoy vanilla-themed sweets and drinks. The popular vanilla soft-serve ice cream, in particular, is characterized by its gentle sweetness and elegant vanilla flavor. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy after observing the plants.

Savoring vanilla sweets in a space surrounded by plants offers a special experience quite different from a typical café. As the aromas and flavors intertwine, it creates a botanical experience that engages all five senses.

Rinon: A "Botanical Garden Where You Can Stay"

A major feature of Hayane is its accommodation facilities. Glamping tents and cottages are dotted throughout the natural landscape, allowing you to observe plants during the day and spend the night enveloped by the forest. Guests can enjoy experiences unavailable to day visitors, such as the nighttime illumination of the Tropical Plant House.

Furthermore, the grounds feature hot spring facilities and restaurants where you can savor dishes made with local ingredients. The appeal of this resort lies in the ability to relax and recharge amidst nature.

A Special Time Surrounded by Nature and Fragrance at Rinne

Hayane is not just a botanical garden; it is an experiential facility that seamlessly integrates nature, fragrance, cuisine, and lodging. Observe tropical plants, be enveloped in the scent of vanilla, and savor sweet treats. Spending a day following this rhythm will surely make for a particularly memorable part of your trip to Japan.

A resort experience spent among plants in the tranquil natural surroundings of Naka City. We invite you to experience a botanical moment that engages all five senses at the newly reborn Rinne.

Combine with Nature Tourism in the Ibaraki/Naka Area

Rinon is located near nature-themed tourist spots in the Naka City area, such as the Ibaraki Prefecture Botanical Garden, the Mushroom Museum, and the Prefectural Forest. It serves as an ideal base for planning a trip centered around plants and nature.

It is also about a 30-minute drive from Hitachinaka City and Hitachi Seaside Park, allowing you to plan an itinerary that combines stays with sightseeing at Nemophila and Kochia. This resort offers a new option for those considering overnight stays in Ibaraki, rather than just day trips.
